Terms of Use

1. Scope

These terms of use apply to the use of the Candoo platform, operated by Elisa Held, Kurfürstenstraße 90, 56068 Koblenz ("Provider"). By using Candoo you accept these terms.

2. Services offered by Candoo

Candoo is a platform that brings together people who seek help with people who offer help. Candoo facilitates connections and provides tools for communication and scheduling, but does not itself provide professional, medical, legal or comparable services.

3. Registration and minimum age

Using Candoo requires a personal user account. You confirm that you are at least 16 years old and that the information provided during registration is truthful and up to date. One account per person; sharing your login credentials is prohibited.

4. Use and rules of conduct

You agree to use Candoo respectfully and in accordance with applicable law. Prohibited in particular are: harassing, discriminatory or unlawful behaviour, providing false information, and commercial use without explicit consent. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

5. Care Credits

Care Credits are an internal, non-monetary balance within Candoo. They cannot be purchased, exchanged for money or paid out. New users receive a starting balance; further credits are earned by helping others. There is no entitlement to the availability or receipt of credits.

6. Professional subscription

Verified professionals can book a paid Professional subscription. The price is €19.99 per month (including statutory VAT where applicable). The subscription renews automatically each month until it is cancelled. Billing is handled by our payment provider Stripe. You can cancel at any time to the end of the current billing period via the customer portal; access to the paid features remains until the end of that period. We announce price changes at least 30 days in advance by email; you then have a special right of termination.

7. Right of withdrawal for consumers (Professional subscription)

If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the Professional subscription contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period starts on the day the contract is concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Elisa Held, Candoo, Kurfürstenstraße 90, 56068 Koblenz, email: hello@candoo.space) by means of a clear statement (e.g. an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. It is sufficient to send the communication before the period expires.

Effects of withdrawal: We will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days from the day on which we receive your notice of withdrawal.

Note on early expiry: If you expressly consent that we begin providing the paid features immediately upon conclusion of the contract and at the same time confirm that you lose your right of withdrawal upon the start of performance, your right of withdrawal expires when the service has been fully provided.

8. Reviews

Reviews may only be submitted after sessions that have actually taken place and must reflect your honest experience (§ 5b UWG / consumer protection law). Purchased, exchanged or otherwise influenced reviews are not permitted. We enforce technical checks (one review per booking) and reserve the right to remove clearly abusive reviews.

9. Profile verification

Verifying your profile with a selfie is voluntary. A verification checkmark only confirms that a real person was behind the profile at the time of the check; it is not a statement about qualification, reliability or identity in a legal sense. Candoo decides on approval or rejection at its own discretion.

10. User responsibility

Agreements and conversations between users take place exclusively between them. Candoo assumes no liability for the content, promises or outcomes of these conversations. In an emergency please contact the responsible authorities immediately (e.g. emergency number 112).

11. Liability

Candoo is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for damages arising from injury to life, body or health. Otherwise liability is limited to foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract. 100 % availability of the platform is not guaranteed.

12. Content and rights

You remain responsible for the content you post. You grant Candoo the simple right to store, display and transmit this content in the course of operating the platform, insofar as this is necessary for its function.

13. Termination

You can stop using Candoo at any time and request deletion of your account at hello@candoo.space. An existing Professional subscription is cancelled separately via the customer portal (see section 6). Candoo may terminate the usage relationship with immediate effect in the event of violations of these terms.

14. Changes

These terms of use may be adjusted, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. We will inform you of material changes in good time and in an appropriate manner.

15. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
